There’s something about intimate weddings that just make my heart skip a beat.

Intimate weddings are all about connection. You’re surrounded by only your closest loved ones, and you really get to be present and enjoy every person that’s there.

M&C had a beautiful intimate ceremony at the Cockpit Theatre at Dundurn Castle in Hamilton. I’ll be honest, I’ve photographed at Dundurn hundreds of times HOWEVER, never went inside this building. This was my first time seeing the inside and I was blown away at how beautiful it is. The rustic stone walls, the wood accents, the giant skylight - it was stunning. Who knew this beautiful piece of history was so close to home AND the perfect ceremony spot.

After the ceremony, we grabbed a few photos and headed off to the Aberdeen Tavern. I was so impressed by that venue, I ended up hosting my own birthday there a few weeks later. The staff is awesome and accommodating, the food is delicious, and the decor gives ALL the classy modern vintage vibes one could dream of.

This wedding was photographed with one photographer (Katie), and only 4 hours of coverage. You can get SO much in 4 hours, and it’s the perfect package for smaller weddings. Heck, you could even get away with 2-3 if you stay in one spot. You don’t need to have a photographer all day, just enough time to get the crucial shots!
