I absolutely adore the Distillery District and all the industrial vibes down there. I wish we had more venues like this in the Hamilton area, but only being an hour away from this - I can’t complain. Winter weddings are SO underrated. Honestly, it doesn’t get much more beautiful than this. What’s not to love about bright white snow, cozy candle lit ceremonies, fur throws (faux of course), and all the l o v e. This February I got to photograph a stunning winter wonderland wedding at the Ancaster Mill, followed by some photos at the RBG, and finishing off the reception at the Oakville Conference Centre.

This day was WILD! As I was driving to this session, I almoooost made the call to cancel it. The rain storm was absolutely insane, and the sky was pitch black it almost felt like it was night. Absolute insane weather that came out of NO WHERE. I ended up hyping myself up and saying - screw it. We’re shooting. Rain or shine. AND I’M SO GLAD I DID.

Suzanne wanted to honour her Vietnamese culture by wearing the traditional Vietnamese outfits during the reception at their wedding. They changed right at the end of the night - so we barely had time to take photos in the outfit. Only getting a few quick shots on the wedding day, we decided to do a “post-wedding” session, where they got to throw the traditional outfits back on and have a PROPER photo session.
