I’ve compiled some inspiration photos for current set designs we can offer at the studio. As we photograph more birthday sessions, I’ll update these photos with actual photos we’ve taken. Please note, these inspiration photo “mood boards” you see below have been sourced off of pinterest. Most of the items or backdrops you see here are items we currently have at the studio. I wanted to get this page up QUICK so we can get all the birthday babes into the studio for 2024, so I haven’t had time to take photos of the actual sets - just yet!
For now, simply use this as a guide.

What about custom sets or ideas?

Absolutely! If you have a custom set idea in mind, we can do our best to bring the vision to life! We do have an add-on option for “Custom Designed Birthday Set” which goes towards sourcing specific items, purchasing backdrops or props/outfits, and planning & designing your custom idea. Please select that option as an add-on if you would like to create your own, and have more creative control when it comes to your photoshoot!

the vision:

Think of this set as being very minimalistic, plain backdrop/background, and all the warm neutral tones. We can help you coordinate your outfit after you book in and we have some recommendations/links if you are purchasing your own outfit. This set has basic props included such as number balloons, candles, drinkware & dried florals. We recommend adding a custom cake to your package and we can order a similar design as seen in the inspo photos. You’re also welcome to bring your own cake if you have a cake artist you prefer.

This set is perfect for those who want a simple, clean, wabi-sabi/japandi neutral inspired vibe.

CONCEPT B: BLACK & WHITE

what’s included:

• Studio lighting to give spotlight effect

• Fun sunglasses in different shapes/sizes

• Long mesh gloves

the vision:

Minimalistic & classy. We’ll play with studio lighting for the spotlight effects and have some props for you to hold for the session. All props are optional, and you can bring your own too! Your gallery will consist of a mix of colour photos and timeless black and white edits.

CONCEPT C: BATHROOM

what’s included:

• Use of our studio bathroom

• Champagne/cocktail glass with bubbly to hold for props

• Use of our client closet robes

• Bubble bath (optional)

• Lipstick to write on the mirror

• Candlelit props (optional)

the vision:

You can totally make this your own! Use our bathroom for your photoshoot and let’s go for the “flash photography/film” effect for these ones. I envision these as more retro, fun, playful - kind of like my birthday photos were! You can wear a fancy outfit with heels and just sit in the empty tub, or you can go full bubble bath mode if you want a softer feel. Sit on the vanity counter, edge of the tub, and some shots with our retro black/white tile flooring - the possibilities are endless!

CONCEPT D: PROJECTOR SESSIONS

what’s included:

• You can choose or send us your custom designs/ideas, or let us have full creative control

• Optional props to hold for photos if desired

the vision:

I’ve seen this concept floating around and I’m eager to play around with it! With projector sessions we can bring any vision to life. Colour, images, words, you name it. You can send us your own designs or we can take full creative control, or both! These sessions are great for those who have an artsy side and want something different. These would be more editorial style, serious, and moody.

Looking for the perfect gift to surprise your friend, or partner?

Look no further! If you have someone special in your life - orrrrr pretty much anyone who LOVES taking photos… this is the perfect surprise. Seriously, take it from someone who loves being in photos, this is my ideal gift - haha!

Q: Is this a boudoir session? Do I have to wear lingerie?

A: No, and no! These sessions are not boudoir sessions, and you do not need to wear lingerie (but if you want to, you can!). These are fun photoshoots that take place at the studio for anyone and everyone! There’s no pressure to do boudoir poses or wear revealing clothing - just wear whatever makes you - YOU. These sessions are to celebrate you, however you’d like to show up!

Q: Can I turn my session into a full boudoir session?

A: We offer birthday set add-on’s to your full boudoir experience, so if you’d like to partake in both - please email us and we can explain the process. You would need to book in with our regular boudoir pricing, and add on the birthday experience separately. Some perks of doing this would be that the hair/makeup, client closet, and same day FULL EDIT image reveal are included in our regular boudoir session fees, so you wouldn’t have to add any of that on.

Q: Can I bring a friend?

A: You’re welcome to bring a friend to your session for moral support, however during the session portion we will ask them to hangout in our lobby area or step out for the photoshoot portion. We find it makes the session very awkward for the person being photographed if someone you know is watching you, and we simply do not allow friends to sit in during any of our photo sessions unless they are paying clients that are also getting photographed. They’re more than welcome to attend the viewing/ordering portion though! They can help you choose your favourite images, and then you can go for a fun dinner afterwards (since you’ll be all glammed and ready to go!)

Q: My friend and I would both like to do a session, can we do ours on the same day?

A: Yes! Let us know if you’d like to book multiple photoshoots in a day. This would be a really fun way to celebrate your birthday with your best pals - and they don’t need to do a birthday themed photoshoot for their own photos! We can leave out the birthday balloons and cake, and just take some fun shots of them! Each individual getting photographed would have to book in with their own separate booking & package, and each person would get the full experience. Galleries/albums cannot be combined and each person would need to purchase their own product collection. Minimum cost would be $850 per person, and digital collections begin at $350. If you are planning on booking more than two sessions in a day, let us know - we might be able to work out a discounted rate for 3 or more sessions on the same day.

Q: How can I book? What do I need to put down as a retainer?

A: The booking process is simple, follow one of the buttons on this page to take you to the booking link. There, you’ll select a date and time for your session, choose your add-on’s, and pay the $250 retainer booking fee. The remainder of your invoice will be due IN FULL prior to the start of your session. You are welcome to upgrade your collection and add-on other products at the studio after you see your images. We offer payment plans for up to 3 months for any upgrade/additional costs added on during your ordering appointment.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: Yes! We have lots of options when it comes to payment plans. It’s your birthday - so you should be able to celebrate ON your birthday too. Don’t let the financials deter you from booking and take advantage of our “buy now, pay later” systems. We offer extended interest-free payment plans through Klarna or Affirm directly in your invoice, so you can come in for your session and worry about the financials later.
