Jessica + Mike // Dundas Waterfall Adventure Engagement Session
I had to blog these two. First of all - look at them. Juuuuuust look at 'em. How adorable are they?! I'm shooting their wedding next year and I'm beyond excited for that one. Jessica is also a Silva. Yes - aka, the best last name in the world. We started exploring the beautiful little town of Dundas, then made our way to one of my favourite waterfalls in Hamilton.
Pro Tip: Engagement sessions are so much more than just an adventure and some photos. It allows your photographer to get to know you and how you respond to the camera, if you're outgoing or more shy, and how your photographic style is. Then, when it comes to the big day, we know you. We know how to work with you and you'll already feel comfortable with us, which is a major bonus.
Afterwards, I take note of your actions. Which photos did you post? Which ones do you gravitate more towards? Did you download more colour photos, or black and white? And yep, you guessed it, I keep that in mind when shooting your wedding. If you are a fan of the black and whites, I'll make sure to include a ton of them on the wedding day. That's what distinguishes a professional from an amateur, learning how to read and understand your clients + their needs.
We really get to know each other so when I show up on the morning of your wedding, it feels more like a friend, and THAT'S when I get those genuine smiles.
So, engagement sessions are cool guys! And they are my favourite thing in the world.
