Nicole + Caleb // Winter Wonderland Ancaster Mill Wedding
Winter weddings are SO underrated. Honestly, it doesn’t get much more beautiful than this. What’s not to love about bright white snow, cozy candle lit ceremonies, fur throws (faux of course), and all the l o v e.
This February I got to photograph a stunning winter wonderland wedding at the Ancaster Mill, followed by some photos at the RBG, and finishing off the reception at the Oakville Conference Centre.
Caleb and Nicole have the most incredible love story. One of those stories that will blow your mind in so many fascinating ways.
They met in Chatel, France at a church youth event. Nicole had actually me Caleb's whole family before she met him, at different times and locations, not realizing that months later she was about to meet her future husband.
Caleb is from California, Nicole is from Ontario, Canada. And what’s even more bizarre… Nicole’s cousin (who is also from Dundas, born and raised) ended up moving out to California, and was living TWO HOUSES DOWN from Caleb the entire time. How crazy is that? Picture this - your cousin, from Canada, decides to move to California and has been living beside your hubby the entire time and only AFTER you introduce him, they correlate and put two and two together. Crazy, eh?
I’m a firm believer that whatever is meant to be will find its way. And in this case, Nicole and Caleb found their way to each other, and nothing has ever solidified the word love more than what these two express towards each other.

Give me a funny story, or anything to describe you both as a couple.
Since we were in a long distance relationship, and had a 3 hour time difference, the most common occurrence throughout our relationship is Nicole trying to text Caleb when she's half asleep. There are numerous examples of texts where Nicole tried to send a message to Caleb, but instead sent him complete gibberish because she was falling asleep as she was texting him! She even once sent him a snapchat while totally asleep! Some people sleepwalk, Nicole sleep snapchats!
The Proposal: “Nicole's family goes to Florida every winter for the holiday season. Caleb had met them down there and they ended up being left alone in the place where they were staying. They were just sitting together when Nicole asked Caleb "what should we do now? Watch a movie?", to which Caleb replied by pulling out a brand new iPad (the exact one Nicole had been wanting for a long time!)... Nicole almost freaked out because she wasn't expecting such an expensive gift out of the blue! Caleb told her to turn the iPad on, and it opened to a powerpoint/video entitled: "Secret Mission." At this point, Nicole was very confused! The screen prompted her to click on Mission 1, which turned out to be a video about Caleb's first visit to Canada. After the video ended, she clicked on the next "Mission" and so on, until she came to the final mission where the video abruptly ended with "It all culminates to this..." At this point, Caleb went down on one knee in front of Nicole and told her how much he loved her and asked her to marry him! Nicole was so surprised that she almost dropped the ipad! Once they both calmed down, Caleb told Nicole "by the way, the ipad is for you!" and she was excited all over again!”
