Woah guys, I’m stoked to share this wedding with you. Toronto is such a fun city and this Archeo wedding was no exception. I absolutely adore the Distillery District and all the industrial vibes down there. I wish we had more venues like this in the Hamilton area, but only being an hour away from this - I can’t complain. Distillery weddings are totally my vibe.

Winter weddings are SO underrated. Honestly, it doesn’t get much more beautiful than this. What’s not to love about bright white snow, cozy candle lit ceremonies, fur throws (faux of course), and all the l o v e. This February I got to photograph a stunning winter wonderland wedding at the Ancaster Mill, followed by some photos at the RBG, and finishing off the reception at the Oakville Conference Centre.

Amanda & Hayden have grown a special place in my heart. They are high school sweethearts (d’aww, who doesn’t melt at these types of stories? I sure do), and you could feel the love radiate through them. Their families are out of this world amazing. They were EASILY one of the funniest, loving, down to earth groups yet. And that dance floor - just wait until you get to those photos. I may be biased, but us Portuguese know how to party ;)

Super pumped to share this one with you, friends. Chelsey and Callum have a special place in my heart. My photographs brought us together and I've been documenting their family for a few years now. From family portraits, to first birthday milestones, and now their wedding. I'm lucky enough to call them friends, and I love getting to spend time with them. 

I met Joliana & Rich a year ago at my studio. They instantly stole my heart with their contagious personalities, and Joliana's smile could light up a room. Seriously, just look at her. We hit it off right away, and quickly realized we were a perfect match.

There's so many beautiful things I get to experience with my job. But one thing that will never get old, is being able to document a proposal. 

The emotions are so raw. The adrenaline is high, and normally I'm keeping this secret from one half of the session and have to bring my CSI liar skills to the table (sorry Erin). Whether I'm helping the groom-to-be plan the proposal from the get-go, or they spring it on me spur of the moment during the shoot, it will never get old.

Back when I started getting into wedding photography, I would second shoot to gain experience. Second shooting is both weird, and exciting. Weird because you don't get to interact with the couple prior to the wedding, you kind of just, show up, and shoot the biggest day of their life.

Where to begin with these two! I hold The Cowen's very close to my heart for many reasons. Tara and Brett were one of the first couples who trusted me from the beginning, long before Katie Marie Photography blossomed into what it is today.
